Additional information
Der Schlitten war nach seiner Restitution 1949 bei der Wiener Kunsthändlerin Marianne Scharnitzer zum Zwecke des Verkaufes deponiert. Als sich kein Interessent fand, übernahm die Häuserverwaltung der Familie Rothschild den Schlitten. Die Witwe von Louis Rothschild, Hilde Rothschild (geb. Auersperg, 1895–1981), schenkte den Schlitten im März 1956 der Wagenburg des Kunsthistorischen Museums, wo er unter Nummer W 128 inventarisiert ist (vgl. KHM, 24/WB/1956).
